Brufut Charity dinner update
The Brufut Charity dinner held at the Barking AL Madinah mosque was a massive success, thank you so much to everyone who helped make it happen and all those who came to support us.
We managed to raise 7200 pounds, which will cover our teachers salaries for a year.
All of the money raised will go towards supporting our 9 staff members in The Gambia. The head of Barking & Dagenham council, Darren Rodwell, was present on the evening and offered a heartfelt endorsement for the project, saying it was a testament to the burrough that we could come together and connect with people from across the Sahara to effect such positive change. We are so grateful for all the support we have received, we take it as a mandate to redouble our efforts and continue in our good work.
